Recap: August 2016 @ In the Flame of the Holy Spirit Church

How many times can we give thanks and repeated glory to the Heavenly Father we serve. This is both a question and a statement. Forever!

We were so blessed this past 24 hour Worship and Prayer weekend. “In the Flame of the Holy Spirit Church” opened up their building and hearts to us to allow the people of God to come and pray, worship, fellowship and just bask in His Presence. And His Presence was there in abundance. Joy did fill the temple. There was gladness of heart and faith abounded.

As usual there are threads which weave themselves throughout our time together. One was the obvious hunger for more of Him. More of His Presence. And being in a church with the name that it has, with a huge painting of a dove hovering over a flame and Pastor Beatrice’s heart to take the people to that deeper place in God, how can one miss such an appointed time?

The second thread was one of joy. You could see it on the people. Smiles from ear to ear and rejoicing that was not forced but flowed freely from their hearts. Was He reminding us that His joy is our strength and our salvation?

We were encouraged through many of the worship songs over the period of the 24 hours to hold fast to this truth especially for the days ahead. When our hearts were turned to Him and His goodness and faithfulness lists of blessings just flowed from our mouths.

And so another month has past. Another joining together of His people and His churches to humble ourselves, pray and seek His face. He is answering our prayers, forgiving us of our sins and healing our land. To Him be the glory!
